So what is a Vintage Chick anyway?
A Vintage Chick always looks on the pretty side of life and of course loves all things Vintage.
She likes to mix it up, 1 part junk,
1 part glam and 1 part heart!
She follows her dream of making the world
a more beautiful place!
You can find her late at night, wearing camouflage chic, sprinkling flower seeds everywhere!
Greetings Vintage Chicks!
sorry this post a tad late but I had to sleep all this week to catch up from all the excitement of our first ever Vintage Chicks Sale. Wow, is all I can say, it was wonderful to find so many other "Vintage Chicks" right here in our own backyard and we even had a line up on Saturday. I've posted pics of all our lovely vendors and booths however due to my adrenaline rush that day I couldn't hold the camera still enough to get great shots. I think next year we'll to hire a professional photographer next year
Our mission is…
to bring to western Canada a new style of show that will be uniting antiques/collectibles with arts/crafts as well as the hot new trend of restyling antiques to a new purpose. A lovely combination of all, stunningly displayed, by very talented & creative people who in the past have had no venue to showcase their wares all together. Our hopes are to be supportive and respectful of each other in our endeavours and we pray a true camaraderie of vendors will lead to a successful sale. Our offerings are inspired by days gone by when people had less but cherished more. Our booths will be boutique-like displays brimming with charming handmades, collectibles/curiosities, reloved & repurposed vintage finds and one-of-a-kind creations so everyone will be sure to find something special for their home & garden that can't be found in the big box stores. We truly believe in supporting local talent versus overseas mass production. So whether you're into cottage, retro, country, rustic, shabby, farmhouse garden or eclectic everyone will be sure to discover a treasure or two. We delight in the hopes to inspire, nourish the soul, delight the senses, and encourage all to take joy in adding a little beauty to they're home and life!
Pam & I are thrilled and so very thankful that our vision for a new style of show for Canada not only came to fruition but that it was so well received, whew! Our amazing vendors and customers helped to make our first annual Vintage Chicks Sale a success and a dream come true so thank you, thank you, thank you! We had prayed for wonderful weather so we weren't surprised when we were blessed with sunshine for exactly our weekend even though it's been raining all of June, we call that a God kiss! We hope everyone who attended has a memorable time and we thank you for supporting local women in business, bless you! We had so many lovely comments, everyone seemed pleasantly surprised and wanted to know if we would be having more shows like this and yes, we have already booked the hall for next year, here we go again, yahoo!
Moving onward & upward and looking forward together with you to our next great Vintage Chicks Sale and the day when “Vintage Chicks” rule the world!
Blessings,
Laura & Pam
